About us
Born from friendship. Backed by expertise. Developed for dogs.
BELO began with an idea shared by two friends - Arben J. and Dejan P.
We both share a love of dogs and a desire to create something of our own. Something that would be more than just another product on the market: a story into which we could put our ideas, energy and vision of what a product for our four-legged friends should be.
That is how the BELO story began.
We took our idea to the Slovenian company Tesnila GK (TGK), which has more than 30 years of experience developing and manufacturing rubber products.
TGK saw the potential in our idea and decided to help us bring it to life. The resulting partnership combines the entrepreneurial idea and drive of two friends with TGK’s knowledge, development experience and manufacturing capabilities.
We, Arben and Dejan, took charge of developing and managing the entire BELO project - from the initial idea, concept development and product design to building the brand and bringing it to market.
TGK is our strategic partner, manufacturer and project financier. It provides the technological and manufacturing foundation on which BELO can grow.
BELO is therefore more than a new product.
It is the story of two friends with an idea and a company that believed in it.
An idea became a project.
A project became a brand.
And knowledge and a love of dogs became products developed with one purpose:
To create something that brings joy to our four-legged friends.
More than just a toy
Behind BELO products is a team of designers and development specialists who also worked with dog training clubs during the design process.
We paid particular attention to the features that shape a dog’s experience of play - from form and surface to texture, how a product feels in the mouth and how the dog interacts with it.
Our aim was to create products that dogs find engaging, that are pleasant to use and robust enough for everyday play.
Developed with canine vision in mind
Dogs see differently from humans. They perceive colours differently, so we did not want to base our development solely on what appeals to the human eye.
When choosing colours, we considered the characteristics of canine colour vision and focused on suitable colour combinations and contrasts.
Together with our long-standing partner specialising in material compounds, we developed and refined combinations of materials and colours to create products that are visually interesting to dogs and easy to notice under different conditions of use.
Safety is the foundation
For a product a dog plays with and often holds in its mouth, material quality is no small detail. It is essential.
We therefore paid particular attention to material safety. In development and production, we use laboratory-tested materials whose suitability is supported by the required tests and certificates.
Every material must meet our specifications before use, and products undergo quality checks throughout production.
We take no shortcuts on safety or quality.
